The crowns were on the line, and the stakes were at their highest as the Clash of Kings & Queens National Championship drew an incredible 392 players from 17 regions, all competing for the $25,000 grand prize. After fierce competition and dramatic swings, a new Queen rose to the throne.

Bonnie Bona of Illinois emerged victorious, defeating Tammy Quade heads up to claim the title and the championship prize. Bonnie’s run was nothing short of remarkable. With two tables remaining, she was reduced to less than a single big blind, only to mount an incredible comeback that carried her all the way to the winner’s circle. Her resilience, patience, and perfectly timed aggression defined one of the most memorable championship runs in FPN history.

Bonnie’s dominance didn’t stop there. She also made the final table of the Royal Court Championship earlier in the festival, with her sister, Suzzanne Barsaloux, joining her, making it a truly unforgettable family achievement on the national stage.

Finishing in third place was Ryne Peterson, who earned $5,000 in a breakout performance at just 21 years old. Ryne was chasing history as the youngest FPN National Champion ever and came heartbreakingly close. The moment carried even more meaning as he is the son of former National Champion Nels Peterson, whose sister also appeared at the final table of the Ladies Championship, a proud and emotional family milestone that showcased the generational strength of the FPN community.

Two-time FPN National Champion Joel Smith finished fifth for $1,000, continuing an extraordinary festival run. Joel made three final tables during Nationals and capped it off by winning the Tag Team Championship, putting on a true clinic in championship consistency. Adding to the family success, his wife Nikki Smith entered the Clash of Kings & Queens as the King’s Guard, starting the tournament with the largest chip stack of 80,000 and earning the $500 King’s Guard bonus.

With nearly 400 players, multiple comeback stories, and champions crowned across the board, the Clash of Kings & Queens National Championship delivered drama, depth, and unforgettable moments. From new stars rising to seasoned champions reinforcing their legacy, this championship proved once again why FPN Nationals continue to set the standard for free-to-play poker competition.

The crown has been claimed, and the legend of this Clash will be remembered for years to come. 👑♠️
