As the Free Poker Network's Fall Season league play nears its conclusion, excitement reached a fever pitch during last night’s showdown, where 24 Mavericks, including three first-time players, gathered to compete. Newcomers Sylvia and Dale Pinson, along with Matt Gingell, made their debuts in style, proving they were more than capable of holding their own. Each had impressive runs in the first game, but seasoned veterans Rick Hoag and Jim Elwart ultimately claimed victory at their respective tables, earning the initial points lead.

In the second game, league leader Mike Baker reasserted his dominance, winning his table to secure vital points. Close behind was Jason Owen, who also emerged victorious at his table, setting the stage for an intense rivalry for the nightly win.
