Delaware TOC Winners
It is my honor and privilege to announce the winners of the Delaware Tournaments of Champions.
On Sunday October 8th at the Logan House TOC, Ed Leonardo outlasted 19 players to claim his first stack in this year’s Nationals Tournament in Vegas. As the two full tables condensed with tales of bad beats and hero calls; Ed arose from a significant chip deficit to defeated Gary Lance in a heads-up battle worthy of ballad.
A week later on Saturday October 14th; 23 players entered the ring of three tables to contend for the title of champion of champs at 6 Paupers, In early final table play, chip leader, Tom Kerstan eliminated 2nd-in-chips, Mark Burns, to amass a whopping stack of approximately 60/65% of the chips in play. Against desperate odds, Rachel Simpson and Matt Darron both battled back from the brink of elimination to square off heads-up. But, like the Highlander; there can be only one. Rachel emerged the victor and earned her second stack in Nationals.
