Battle for the Throne Intensifies with 159 Entries in Mega Qualifier

The battlefield was packed and the crowns were in sight as FPN Mega Qualifier officially wrapped up.

A massive field of 159 players entered the fray, each battling for position in one of the most important qualifying events of the series. When the dust finally settled, 40 players emerged victorious, each earning a 20K starting stack into the Clash of Kings & Queens National Championship, set for Sunday, January 12 at 10:00 AM. With $25,000 cash on the line, the championship promises an all-out clash worthy of royalty.

The battle for the King’s Guard bonus is now fully underway. The chip leader heading into the National Championship will claim an additional $500 in cash, and the leaderboard is stacked. Eleven players are currently tied at the top with 60K stacks: Christopher Nelson, Eric Kassa, Jack Black, Jack Lippert, Larry Sundberg, Lester Hauglid, Luvern Hanson, Mary Troftgruben, Nikki Smith, Roy Winkelman, and Shane Santos. With stacks this close, every remaining hand could determine who enters the championship wearing the crown.

There is still one more opportunity to add to the royal ranks. On Saturday at 5:00 PM, players can compete in Qualifier #4, the Tag Team Championship. Final table teams and their partners will advance with 20K starting stacks into the Clash of Kings & Queens National Championship. This special event features $3,000 in final table payouts, the coveted Tag Team Championship belts, and live reporting by Poker News. The action will also be live streamed.

Off the felt, the rewards continued with daily cash drawings. In the 1:00 PM drawing, John Mizure took home $200. Cash drawings will continue every day at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM, along with random FPN merchandise giveaways. To enter, players simply place their receipt from any qualifying event into the drum located at the front of the room.
