As the Free Poker Network's Summer Season closed out its first month, 20 Mavericks gathered for the first of three double-point nights, eager to shake up the standings. With Rick Hoag leading the season points, the pressure was on to maintain his position, especially with a highly competitive field aiming for the top.

The evening kicked off with Amber Soper and George Pethers securing victories at their respective tables in the first game. Not far behind, Scott Sutter and new player Ashton Groth finished in second place, hinting at a competitive night ahead. In the second game, George Pethers was the first to exit his table, while Amber Soper continued to impress with a strong showing. The night's highlight came as Rick Hoag, the season leader, claimed victory at his table, while Ashton Groth, showing consistent form, secured another second-place finish. This set the stage for a tight race, with Ashton Groth taking the lead going into the third game, followed closely by Amber Soper, Scott Sutter, and Steve Hertson, all within two points.

The final game of the night saw Ashton Groth doing just enough to clinch the top spot, while Amber Soper's consistent performance landed her in a close second. Scott Sutter rounded out the podium, marking a strong finish to a competitive evening.
