Maverick's Finish to a Hard Fought Spring Season

What an exhilarating night of poker at The Mayfield Tavern! Here's a recap of the final night of the Free Poker Network's Spring Season, where 15 Mavericks gathered to determine the last three seats for the National Championship in Las Vegas this coming January:

Highlights of the Night:

• Steve Hertson, Scott Sutter, and George Pethers: All three players were in precarious positions for the National Championship seats. Hertson and Sutter started strong, both taking first place at their tables in the first game. Unfortunately, Pethers was absent, opening the door for other contenders.
• Jim Elwart: Made a strong showing with a second-place finish in game one, positioning himself as a strong contender for one of the coveted seats.
• Amanda Dudeck: With only 7 points behind Elwart, she was still within striking distance.
• Game Two: Scott Sutter continued his strong performance with a second-place finish. Steve Hertson, however, bowed out early, leaving his position vulnerable.
• New Contenders: Husband and wife team, Gil and Patricia Miles, made their presence felt, tying for the night's overall lead just two points behind Sutter.

Final Results:

• Scott Sutter: Claimed the nightly win, securing his spot for the National Championship.
• Gil Miles: Finished second for the night, ahead of his wife Patricia Miles, who took third place.
• Rick Hoag: Already declared the league champion earlier, solidified his position at the top.
