As the Free Poker Network’s Fall Season wrapped up its first full month at The Mayfield Tavern, it’s clear that the top spot in the league standings is anyone's game. Tuesday night’s poker brought 20 dedicated Mavericks together, each eager to solidify their place in the rankings—and with double points on the line, the stakes were higher than ever.

From the opening hands, it was clear that strategy was the name of the game. Players held back at first, content to wait each other out. But as the blind levels rose, patience gave way to an explosion of bold plays and aggressive moves.

In the first game, Jason Owen came out on top at his table, while Wes Jones, who had initially been short-stacked, mounted an impressive comeback to win his own table. In the second game, Mike Baker and Mike Pjeter each claimed a victory, demonstrating the skills and resilience that have made them top contenders this season.

Heading into the final game of the night, Wes Jones and Mike Pjeter were neck-and-neck in the lead, with Jason Owen trailing closely by just a single point. The pressure was on, and every player knew they’d have to bring their best game. When the dust settled, it was Owen who clinched the victory at his table, with Baker winning at his.

The final tally put Jason Owen in the top spot for the night, with Mike Pjeter and Wes Jones rounding out the top three. Baker finished strong in fourth place, with Amanda Dudek also landing in the top five. Congratulations to all the top finishers!

With the first month in the books, Mike Baker now leads the league standings, followed by Owen, Dudek, and Pjeter. Each of these four has earned a coveted spot in the FPN Royal Court Monthly National Online Qualifier on November 24th. As we look ahead to the second month of the season, the competition promises to be even fiercer.

See you on the felts next week!
