Dakota Poker League Players from all over the state will converge at Westside Bar & Grill in Mandan this Saturday for a chance to qualify for the exclusive Free Poker Network "Golden Ticket" National Championship on December 10th. The top TEN players will win a seat into the National Championship tournament where a $10,000 poker package will be awarded. The National Champion will play in five major tournaments throughout the 2012-2013 calendar years.
Brandon Dosch from Fargo, ND won the Poker Pro promotion one year ago and won the same package as this years upcoming National Championship will win. Brandon went on to win over $20,000 in cash with his package.
There are 135 qualifiers for the North Dakota final at the West Side Bar & Grill in Mandan where several previous league championship events have been held. The tournament begins at noon and there will be a free to play side tournament for any players that have busted from the main tournament and any spectators who would like to play. The side tournament will begin at 5:30 and the winner of the side tournment will win a spot in the National Championship as well!

- 24% of the field is brand new to the championship events.
- 25 players will start with a double chip stack.
- There are seven past champions in the field.
- 60 players made it by directly qualifying.
