Doug Warden became the new champion in Southern Illinois recently securing his spot at the Vegas or Bust National Championship at the MGM casino on July 4th. For his victory Doug also wins airfare allowance and a free hotel stay at Hooters Casino. Joining Doug will be Bonnie Dotson (pictured) and Carol Leeman who finished second and third respectively. All three players will be trying to win one of the twelve seats into this year's World Series of Poker which is up for grabs on July 4th. Congratulations and we look forward to seeing all three of you in Vegas soon!
Wendy Adamczykdandrea (right) continued with woman domination of state championships by taking down the N. Illinois Championship. Coming in second was Denise Schultz (left) who has also qualified for the FPN National Championship on Dec. 3rd. For her win Wendy won airfare allowance and a free hotel stay at Harrah's. Way to go ladies!!!
All games will go on as scheduled with the exception of Monday September 5th at Oliver's Bar & Grill. There will be no game there on Monday, September 5th.
It has also been confirmed that ALL games will be played at our Southern Illinois locations.
Congratulations goes out to Kenneth Barker (right) from Colyers 212 in West Frankfort, IL who was able to win his way to the Poker Pro National Championship. Kenneth was able to fend off Kyler Park (left) from Kip & Traci's Coloniol Club. Kyler is also qualified for the National Championship for his second place effort. Kenneth wins the airfare allowence and the hotel stay in Las Vegas while both will be competing on December 3rd.
Todd Dean from Marion, IL took down the 127 person FPN Online Tournament Thursday night Sept 1st. Todd plays at Kip & Traci's Colonial Club and has qualified for the summer regional playoffs coming up. He was the overall points leader in July and has also qualified for the Tournament of Champions. For his big win Todd becomes the 10th FPN Poker Pro National Qualifier. Todd won an airfare allowance and hotel accommodations on the strip at the beginning of Decemember.
