On Sunday night April 1st, Jeff Dalmedo from Randolph, New Jersey was able to take down the FPN monthly online championship. Jeff screen name "JeffD23" was able to beat Randy Riley "Roughneck" from Sedalia, Missouri heads up for the victory. Jeff plays his weekly games at the Laughing Lion in Dover, New Jersey. Jeff now has bragging rights going into the NJ playoffs as he will be now attempting for a double stack at the National Championship.
Dave O'Hare from Warton, New Jersey recently became the eleventh qualifier for the Vegas or Bust National Championship. Dave scratched off four nines to get qualified. He was able to do it in only six attempts. We have finalized the National Championship details as well. The National Championship will be held on Wednesday July 4th!!! If you are lucky enough to win the hotel stay that will be from Tuesday July 3rd through Friday July 6th at Hooters casino. (The only casino with a 24/7 pool in Vegas) The National Championship will be at the MGM across the street.
On Saturday May 7, 2011 twelve of New Jerseys best players came to Kabobs for our State Championship Tournament. Two players, Mike Berardesco and John Jackson started the day with 20,000 in chips while the other ten started with 10,000. The game started precisely at 2:00 pm. Frank Talty was the first player out after 3 hours of play. (Frank won the best dressed award hands down, pictured standing middle).
The news out of New Jersey State Championship was that Laura Schauble defeated previous champ John "Jack" Johnson for the state title and the coveted air/hotel package to Las Vegas! Both players have earned seats at the national final in December...This makes it 4-in-a-row national qualifications for Jack!
